DRDO carried out the first flight test of the Pinaka Long Range Guided Rocket, LRGR-120, at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. The guided version extends the reach of the indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket system, which is already in Army service. A successful maiden flight is the first step before user trials and induction, and it strengthens India's push for self-reliance in long-range artillery.
