The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has extended the Minimum Import Price (MIP) on natural honey, fixed at $1,400 per tonne, until December 31, 2026. A minimum import price means honey cannot be brought into India below that value. The measure aims to stop the inflow of cheap imported honey and to safeguard Indian honey producers and beekeepers from unfair price competition.
