The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) has joined hands with the "Coalition of the Willing" to create India's first integrated life-cycle support model for persons with hearing impairment. The model is intended to provide coordinated support to hearing-impaired persons across the different stages of their lives, rather than through isolated, one-time interventions.
