The Delhi government has rolled out Bhu-Aadhaar, under which every land parcel gets a unique 14-digit identification number. It forms part of the Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) system meant to modernise land records and improve transparency. Each parcel will carry a geo-referenced code for precise mapping and ownership checks, and drone surveys with digital mapping will record its coordinates, size and owner. The system is expected to cut disputes, stop multiple registrations of the same land and support an Integrated Land Information Management System (ILIMS).
