The Defence Minister has released the Defence Forces Vision 2047, a roadmap to build a future-ready Indian military. The vision encourages joint operations among the Army, Navy and Air Force for better coordination and efficiency, and lays out phases of transition, consolidation and excellence to reach long-term goals. It also backs self-reliance by expanding domestic defence production and cutting imports.
