CISF Raising Day 2026 was observed on March 10 to mark the founding of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The force was established in 1969 under the CISF Act, 1968, to provide security for critical industrial facilities across India. Over the years its role has widened considerably: today the CISF guards airports, metro rail networks, nuclear plants, seaports and government buildings, and also provides security at major public events. It functions as one of the Central Armed Police Forces of the country.
