The President inaugurated the centenary celebrations of the Ol Chiki script in New Delhi. Pandit Raghunath Murmu of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, created the script in 1925 to give the Santhali language its own writing system. It has 30 letters and is fully phonetic. Santhali was added to the Eighth Schedule by the 92nd Constitutional Amendment Act, 2003, and in December 2025 the Constitution of India was translated into Santhali in Ol Chiki.
