Ayushman Bharat Diwas is observed on April 30 to promote universal healthcare in India. The day celebrates the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), launched in 2018, which offers cashless health cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family every year. The scheme benefits more than 10.74 crore families across the country and supports India's Universal Health Coverage goal, in line with World Health Organization objectives.
