Rajasthan has inaugurated its first semiconductor Assembly, Testing, Marking and Packaging (ATMP) / Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility at Bhiwadi in Alwar district. Such units handle the back-end stage of chip production, in which chips are assembled, tested, marked and packaged before they reach electronic products. The plant comes after the State introduced its Semiconductor Policy in March 2026 to encourage chip manufacturing and the growth of electronics industries in Rajasthan.
