Between April and August 2026, ASEAN was the regional market where India's exports grew fastest, rising 56%, largely on the back of petroleum products. Petroleum product shipments to the bloc grew 2.4 times to more than US$6.1 billion, with Singapore taking almost three-fourths. Computer hardware exports to ASEAN jumped 20-fold to US$1.4 billion and electric machinery rose 82% to US$1.6 billion. Exports to the European Union grew the slowest as petroleum product sales there fell 21% to US$4.6 billion. ASEAN, formed on 8 August 1967 through the Bangkok Declaration, has 11 members; India is not one of them.
