The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated India's first-ever sea shipment of botanical-infused, ready-to-cook millet functional foods. The consignment was sent from Karnataka to New Zealand. The export reflects growing overseas demand for value-added millet products and supports India's efforts to promote millets, often called nutri-cereals, in international markets. APEDA functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and promotes the export of agricultural and processed food products.
