The Government has widened the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) framework to include solar ingots and wafers, with effect from 1 June 2028.
- ALMM was introduced in 2019 by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy to ensure quality and reliability of solar equipment.
- Only listed manufacturers and models can be used in government-supported solar projects.
- The framework now has three lists: List-I (Solar PV Modules), List-II (Solar PV Cells) and List-III (Solar Ingots and Wafers).
