Eight traditional products from Himachal Pradesh have been awarded Geographical Indication (GI) tags, raising the State's total number of GI-tagged products to 17. The newly recognised items are Spiti Seabuckthorn (Chharma), Salooni Safed Makka (white maize), Chamba Metal Art, Sirmauri Loiya, Kinnauri Topi, Sepuvadi of Mandi, Kinnauri Apple and Kinnauri Jewellery.
