The Government of Assam launched Mission Basundhara 3.0 in Dhemaji district to distribute land pattas to indigenous landless families, benefiting 1,06,905 people across the State. The mission also granted land rights under the Forest Rights Act, 2006. By giving legal ownership, it aims to settle long-pending land disputes and give families security over the land they live on and cultivate.
