Save
The Government of Kerala has proposed Vision 2031, a policy roadmap to make Kerala the most women-friendly state in India. It suggests a law similar to Andhra Pradesh's Disha Act for trials within 21 days in specified crimes against women. Other measures include a Distress Alert App, Pink buses for night travel, the Priyadarshini free-travel scheme on KSRTC buses and the Avalkoppam initiative against domestic violence and dowry harassment. Kerala's Gender Budget for 2026-27 is ₹5,586.99 crore out of a ₹25,401 crore plan outlay.
