Uttar Pradesh tabled a ₹9.12 lakh crore Budget for 2026–27, about 12.9% larger than the previous year. Capital expenditure accounts for 19.5% of the total, focused on education, agriculture, health and infrastructure. The fiscal deficit is held at 3% of GSDP in line with Finance Commission norms, with higher allocations for medical colleges, healthcare, police infrastructure and technology missions such as AI training.
