Mumbai will host the Earthshot Prize 2026, founded by Prince William, during Mumbai Climate Week, the first time the event comes to the city. Every year the prize gives £1 million each to five innovators with solutions in climate action, biodiversity, clean energy, air quality and ocean restoration. Prince William cited India's climate leadership as a reason for the choice, which also highlights India's 2070 net-zero target.
