The 18th edition of Exercise NOMADIC ELEPHANT, the annual bilateral military exercise between India and Mongolia, has begun at Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. Held every year, the exercise allows troops of both countries to share experience, improve coordination and build mutual understanding. Regular editions of NOMADIC ELEPHANT reflect the steady growth of defence ties between India and Mongolia, two partners linked by long-standing cultural and strategic ties.
