The 11th Ayurveda Day was observed on 23 September 2026 to promote awareness of Ayurveda's role in health and wellness. The 2026 theme is "Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow". First observed in 2016, the day was earlier held on Dhanteras (Dhanwantari Jayanti), so its date changed every year. Through a Gazette notification in 2025, the Government fixed 23 September as Ayurveda Day, making 2026 the first celebration on the fixed date. The Ministry of Ayush promotes Ayurveda through healthcare services, research, education, quality standards and international cooperation.
