The Union Government told the Lok Sabha that 8,630 complaints were received against sitting judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts over the past decade, involving allegations such as corruption, sexual misconduct and other serious impropriety. These are dealt with through the 'in-house procedure' by the Chief Justice of India and High Court Chief Justices. Complaints filed via CPGRAMS (Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) are passed on to the relevant judicial authorities.
